Fan Bingbing as Blink
X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014)
A guide to the incredibles 2 by someone with epilepsy
If you have epilepsy or photo-sensitivity but are stubborn like me here is a safety guide. I recommend that you do not see the movie in theaters but if you will still do it here ya go. I’ve seen a lot of posts warning about the flashing lights but none saying when they are. I’m going to do my best to not give away too much of the movie.
Strobe effects/Flashing lights:
-At the beginning of the movie when they are fighting the underminer, when they go underground there is some slight flashing, not too bad though
-When Helen is in screenslavers base and moves the white cloth from a human-like shape the following battle includes a huge strobe/flashing effect that lasts for awhile
-When they are all on the ship during the ceremony there is a moment when the villain will say something to the effect of now and flashing/strobe will take over a huge tv
-After that last one there will be unpredictable scenes of strobe effect, you will inevitably see some flashing/strobe unless there is someone who has seen at and can warn you without fail. If you know that even a glimpse of that will harm you/give you a seizure please do not go for your own safety and that of others
-I have heard there are some in the credits though I did not stick around after a few minutes
Things to do/not to do:
-Bring someone who you trust or someone who has seen it before with you to tell you when the scenes are over
-Bring a baseball cap or something you can tilt down to cover your eyes then close them and put a hand over them
-DO NOT GO ALONE.
Even catching glimpses my eyes were dilated afterwards and my head was hurting. Please be careful. If you do not have epilepsy or photo-sensitivity please boost this. Feel free to add to this in case I missed anything.
